Century™ Products Framework

Century Product Framework (CPF) utilizes the bottom-up Software development methodology that is effective and facilitates flexible product customization.

Century Product Framework enables the rapid development and deployment of new generations of products. It helps in easy tailoring of products and product initiatives for rapid penetrations into new market segments. The system involves only shorter product development life cycles and it supports in dynamically increasing the number of offered products.

Century Product Framework system is used to create and maintain services. These services can be grouped into Packages and are associated to Price Plans. Price Plans define how charges are applied to these services. Discounts can also be granted to the services based on the Price Plan. The commitment specifies the valid term length and (revenue) amounts to which a customer may commit when buying a product.

The CPF comprises of:

Service Catalog: Services and Services elements offered by the service provider, Service Packages to package the services - service elements offered and Service families which do the basic classification of services.

Price Plan: Time plans to provide the tariff times, Geo plans to provide tariff zones, Geo Time plans to provide time plan and geo plan combinations, Usage plans to provide rating information, Price plans to provide subscription and access fees for services, services elements and service packages, Price per units to provide per unit price for any service or service elements and Event Charges to provide events and their charges.

Discounts: Discounts address a small set of plan components whose job is to provide a certain amount (dollars, percentage, or free unit) reduction from the base (gross) charge for a component.

Commitments: Commitments address a small set of plan components whose job is to track various monetary, term and quantity commitments to which a customer has agreed.
